Prequel to the "Artifacts" works, the Instructions and Prototypes paintings and objects imagine eons ago encounters with a mysterious unseen interdimensional intelligence attempting to transfer unknown and forbidden knowledge to the prehistoric settlers of the Earth.
With their discovery of strange otherworldly semiotic writing and images, Earth's earliest inhabitants began a collaboration which produced crude but earnestly made bricolage objects in an attempt to bridge from what they knew to what would be incomprehensible to them.
